FUJII – MACHADO Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (referred to as BJJ) is considered to be the most popular, effective and fastest growing martial art today!  The Machado Brothers are members of the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu family are these families are the premiere Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu styles in the world today. The Machado family and the Gracie family are related by marriage and have the same lineage which many people do not know.  Black Belt Master George Fujii and his Team Fujii/ Machado Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructors have trained with both these families and the eldest brother, Coral Belt Master Carlos Machado is our Head Instructor.  

Our goal is to help the student learn to defend and protect themselves and ultimately be able to control and defeat a much stronger and larger opponent. That is the beauty of BJJ!  You will learn how to escape and control your opponent in addition to positioning and transitioning, submissions, chokes, takedowns, joint locks, joint manipulations, and pressure points. You will develop technical skills, balance, leverage and get in great physical condition and eventually be able to use any opponents strengths against them.

Jiu Jitsu training will get you in the best shape in your life!  Our classes are suited for beginner level up to the advance grappler and competition level.  Men, women, kids and teens of all ages are all welcome to come and participate because Jiu-Jitsu is for everyone!  

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has historically been one of the hardest martial arts to earn any belt rank in so it may take the student years of training just to get their first belt. BJJ is one the best martial arts that will give the practitioner the ability to survive a real street fight in today’s world.  Jiu-Jitsu is used today by many top Mixed Martial Arts competitors.

Many of our students are not interested in competing but want the skill and knowledge they can learn training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with experienced and seasoned instructors and coaches.  Here at Team Fujii/ Machado BJJ we have been teaching BJJ full time for over 30 years and Master George Fujii has coached literally over 10,000 competition matches thru the years!
