These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website, services, programs, facilities, communications, and related offerings provided by West Coast Martial Arts ("WCMA," "we," "us," or "our"), located in Gardnerville, Nevada. By accessing our website, enrolling in programs, participating in training, or receiving communications from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use our services.

Eligibility and Participation

Participation in any West Coast Martial Arts program is voluntary and requires:

  • Completion of all required enrollment forms and waivers
  • Compliance with academy rules, policies, and instructor guidance
  • Physical and mental capability to participate safely

Minors must have consent from a parent or legal guardian.

We reserve the right to deny or terminate participation at any time for safety, conduct, or policy violations.

Assumption of Risk

Martial arts training involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, contact with others, falls, strains, or unforeseen accidents.

By participating, you acknowledge and accept all inherent risks and agree that West Coast Martial Arts, its owners, instructors, staff, and affiliates are not liable for injuries or damages except where prohibited by law.

Participants are responsible for consulting a physician before beginning any training program.

Memberships, Fees, and Payments

  • Membership fees, program pricing, and payment terms are disclosed at enrollment
  • Payments are non-refundable unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing
  • Missed classes do not constitute grounds for refunds or credits
  • West Coast Martial Arts may update pricing or program structures with reasonable notice
  • Failure to maintain payment may result in suspension or termination of access

Code of Conduct

All members, students, guests, and parents are expected to:

  • Treat instructors, staff, and fellow students with respect
  • Follow safety rules and class instructions
  • Maintain proper hygiene and attire
  • Avoid disruptive, aggressive, or inappropriate behavior

Violation of conduct standards may result in disciplinary action, suspension, or termination without refund.

Health and Safety Responsibilities

Participants agree to:

  • Disclose relevant medical conditions that may impact training
  • Refrain from training while injured, sick, or impaired
  • Follow instructor guidance regarding safety and technique

West Coast Martial Arts reserves the right to restrict participation for safety reasons.

Intellectual Property

All content, including logos, branding, curriculum, videos, written materials, website content, and training methods, are the intellectual property of West Coast Martial Arts or its licensors.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or exploit any materials without prior written consent.

Media Release

By participating in classes or events, you grant West Coast Martial Arts permission to capture and use photos, videos, and recordings for promotional, educational, and marketing purposes unless you submit a written opt-out request.

Communications Consent (A2P & Digital Communications)

8.1 Consent to Receive Messages

By submitting your phone number, email address, or contact information through our website, forms, chat systems, or in-person enrollment, you expressly consent to receive communications from West Coast Martial Arts, including:

  • Class schedules and updates
  • Enrollment and billing notices
  • Trial confirmations and reminders

All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

8.6 Carrier Liability Disclaimer

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. West Coast Martial Arts is not responsible for service interruptions, message delivery failures, or technical issues related to mobile carrier networks.

8.7 Age Restrictions

Users must be at least 18 years old to opt into SMS communications. By opting in, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

If you are under 18, parental or guardian consent is required where legally permitted.
